#LMLLE Goodbye 2017; a Year Full of First Times

Today is the first blank page of a 365-page book. Write a good one.

Can’t believe it is already a new year. Time passes by so fast! For the last days, it was that time of the year again, where we all go through our bags of memories and setting down new goals for 2018.

2017 was a hell of a ride. Like every year I had good and bad times, but all in all last year was pretty amazing. (I actually do say this every year, but in the end, I always see the good things in everything.) 2017 has been a year full of first times.

Before wrapping this beautiful journey, which is called 2017, I want to thank you all for your support. It means a lot to me, and I do really appreciate it! You can’t imagine how happy I am while I am reading all your comments! Reading your lovely words every day gives me so much strength, and I feel very touched by it! Thank you so much for joining me on all the ups and downs, which I am going through! I hope you all had a fantastic New Year’s Eve and a good start into 2018! HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! May all your wishes, goals and new year’s resolution come true!

Love, Ly <3

I started the year with a shopping trip to Paris, one of my favourite travelling destination. This was such a good idea since Paris always gives me energy and I get inspired by this beautiful city every time. Moreover, I can express my creativity in Paris to the fullest. From this shopping trip, I got one of my best buys in 2017, which you can find out here.

Afterwards, I celebrated Chinese’s New Year in Vietnam for the first time with my cousins and family. I have already been to Vietnam a lot of times but this year was the first time I experienced this festive season there. I also visited Thailand for the first time as well. Bangkok to be exactly. Such a charming and lovely county. We celebrated our aunt’s birthday on the Sirocco Sky Bar in Bangkok, and the dining experience there was incredible.

A significant moment in February was also the launch of Ly Mademoiselle! My personal new beginning when it comes to blogging and expressing creativity.

In March I decided to travel alone for the first time. In my opinion, everyone should travel alone at least once in life for the all the experiences. My destination for that experience was Vienna. It was also my first time in that city, and I am very impressed. The city is so beautiful, and it reminds me a lot of Paris since they are very similar.

At the end of March, I turned one year older with a Pre-Birthday Party with my friends in Munich. Following that, I had my real birthday party in Stuttgart with all my best friends. Two of my best party nights in 2017.

A month later, my best friend and I had a girly trip to Paris again. Including a lot of shopping, fine dining (here are the Restaurants you can’t miss in Paris!) and of course a visit to Disneyland Paris. If you also want to have a perfect Disneyland trip, here is your ultimate guide to Disneyland Paris.

For a better and healthier lifestyle, I finally found my kind of sports, which I genuinely love and motivates me. I started to take Tennis lessons, and I am sometimes still surprised by myself how I can drive myself so much that I can be on the tennis court at seven o’ clock in the morning.

During these two months, I was very busy with university, since this summer semester 2017 was officially my last Bachelor semester at my uni in Munich. Time really flies fast. It feels like I just started to study only yesterday… I am going to have one last semester abroad this year, and then I am going to start with my master degree next autumn.

If you follow me on Instagram (@lyy.hng), then you already know that July was my party month. I went with my clique for the first time to Ibiza for a clique holiday. Seven days full of party madness at Ushuaia. This was probably one of my craziest experience ever. From endless parties with a festival feeling at night to relaxing beach club days. I am not so sure if I would go on a holiday like this again, but I am glad I could gain all those experiences.

At the end of July, I had a very meaningful moment. I went to Berlin to meet one of my good friends from Argentina, who I met in London. We went to school together in London, and haven’t seen each other since then, which has been three years from now. Exploring Berlin together we had an amusing day and good times. Furthermore, I also visited a friend who is living in Berlin and I met her in Paris while I was studying there.

My summer holidays I spent in Vietnam again with my family. This was a crazy summer. My favourite cousin and I had so many days where we were laughing until our belly hurts. We went to a resort in Phu Quoc to relax and get our minds off. Beach holidays like this are one of my favourite kinds of getting my mind off. A quiet and private beach, food buffets all day, sunrises and sunsets at the beach and Karaoke nights.

The perfect summer I ended with a trip to Seoul with my mum. As I already mentioned here, this was a vacation which completely changed my life. I entirely dedicated my lifestyle to skincare, got hooked up again with Korean music and especially Korean dramas tv shows.

After the summer, I slowed down a little bit and my life went a little bit more calmed. During autumn, I spent my free time with watching a lot of Kdramas, improving my piano skills and worked more for Ly Mademoiselle.

I also produced a video for my YouTube channel after two years again. Check out my 10 – Step Korean Skincare Routine here and give me a thumbs up if you like it. Also, don’t forget to share it with friends and family.

During the last two months of the year, I had to take care of my university stuff, which was left and prepared a few things for my abroad semester next year. I also went back to my party life after having a break from it for six months.

In Stuttgart, there was an opening of a new sushi bar, which is super fancy and so delicious! Definitely my favourite sushi restaurant in my hometown.

Finishing the year with Christmas and New Year’s Eve, I celebrated it with family and friends.

The second half of my year wasn’t exciting as how it started, and I also had to face a lot of personal problems and troubles, but all in all 2017 was a good year. 2017 thanks for all the lessons and beautiful moments, 2018 I am READY!
